CM Punk poursuit sa rivalité avec Drew McIntyre à WWE RAW tout en se préparant pour un nouveau rôle à NXT.
Le "Best in the World" a en effet été annoncé comme l'arbitre spécial du match entre Ethan Page et Trick Williams pour le championnat de NXT. Ce match aura lieu le 1er octobre 2024 à Chicago, pour le premier épisode diffusé sur CW Network aux États-Unis.
L'annonce a été faite durant les dernières minutes de WWE NXT du 17 septembre 2024 :
